Rebekah throws a party, Elena throws a fit, and Klaus throws around the new term "The Five". Did we learn nothing from the way Connor handled himself when Damon tried to kill him at the Memorial? Anyway, Tyler heard the guard getting choked and hid so he could surprise Connor when Connor entered his room. Connor offered to mentor Jeremy if he brings him a vampire and suggested he ask his friend Matt where to find one. Connor had booby-trapped said trailer so that it would blow if Damon moved to remove one of the arrows that struck him as he went about his snooping.
Truly, a doctor is a solid backup plan. Damon had Jeremy go see Connor as he was whittling tools and tell him he thought Meredith Fell has a deal with a vampire — her blood for his. They headed to the hospital, and Meredith led Connor into a storage room where Damon and Klaus were waiting.
It was cute the way Damon gave Klaus his due. Ooh, is this like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and a new slayer is chosen when the old one dies?! Damon got out just in time and assumed Connor had died in the fire. Klaus had saved him quick hands! Clearly, Klaus thinks he can use Connor for something. Could Connor help turn Elena back into a human so Klaus could make more hybrids? At least she brought him a bandage. Rebekah reminded Elena that Stefan liked her once — actually, a lot more than once.
Actually, where is Mr. I killed him. Elena threw a pencil at Rebekah, which Rebekah caught and threw back at her so it stabbed Elena in her chest below her left shoulder. Elena went into the bathroom to clean herself up and a girl named Heather came in to check on her. Rebekah had bit her neck and she was bleeding. Rebekah wanted Elena to kill her and expose herself as a vampire to Connor. And yet, awesome.
Elena vamped out — giving bully Rebekah the reaction she wanted. She needs to let the rage in and confront it before she can let it go. Go on The View. Elena planned to confront her rage — with a white oak stake in hand. Why does Damon keep his bourbon in the top drawer of a dresser, I thought. Too big for the soap dish, I guess. Elena left. A part of her wished she had some singles on her, and you know it.
Somehow, Elena was able to save it a magic spell made it indestructible? Did Damon really reluctantly give it to her, knowing that an entire line of vampires would die if she succeeded in killing Rebekah, or did Elena lie to Stefan about that and she found it herself?
That rare smile of his — easy choice. But um, Elena just drank the werewolf venom?! Damn her vampire balance is good. Anyone else think that instead of standing, she was gonna spin herself so she was sitting in front of Stefan facing him as in Grease 2? She pushed Stefan away and now she felt the venom working its way through her arm. We cut to Rebekah, who was sitting alone looking queasy in her bedroom. First stop, schooling Jeremy.
Second stop: Congratulating Meredith on a job well done. She told him to fix things with Stefan and Elena before his pride left him all alone. He compelled Matt to forget about Elena going overboard and told Elena he was going to teach her the right way to be a vampire. That was Elena admitting it to herself.
If she has to feed from the vein to survive, she needs Damon to teach her how. Though will Stefan try…. Stefan called Caroline over to talk to her about Elena. He wants her to be his Lexie now, basically. Is he afraid hot vampire sex is a gateway to wanting to eat people again?
Stefan told Caroline that Damon was gonna help him stay off the edge before they had their latest falling out over Elena. Do you think Stefan is actually planning on teaching Elena how to feed from the vein, or will he willingly leave that to Damon now? It seems arbitrary now, but I wonder if it has something to do with the way The Five could make her human again? It also makes it harder for her to judge Damon for drinking from women in the past.
I mean, she needs to do it, and he chooses to. He smiled. Loneliness is something Rebekah relates to. After her tough-love hallucination, I think she was genuinely trying to make a friend by offering to help April investigate the explosion at the farm.
