It resembles an anthropomorphic sea monster. Right after Link inserts the Squid Carving into the lock and enters the control room, Tentalus attacks the ship, blocking the corridors with its tentacles. Link must use a Skyward Strike to sever these tentacles as he makes his way to the deck to face Tentalus. The tentacles can also be removed with Bombs. As he makes his way through the corridors of the ship, Link must avoid getting hit by rolling Barrels , which he can either dodge or destroy with his sword. If Link gets too close to any wiggling tentacles, they will grab him and he must break free before they pull him out. If he is pulled out, Link will respawn in a nearby location. As Link progresses towards the ship's exterior, the lower levels will begin to flood with water. When Link reaches the outside, the door collapses behind him, and the battle begins. Tentalus starts off by diving underwater and attacking Link by breaking through the deck from below with its tentacles.

Skyward Sword. Heart Container Nayru's Flame. Tentalus is an immense, humanoid, octopus-haired monster. It has a single red eye on his face, and its skin is a mottled blue-purple. Tentalus' battle is possibly unique in the series in that the battle does not take place in the boss chamber of the ship. Instead, Tentalus attacks the Sandship as Link enters the chamber, and he must escape from the depths of the ship, using Skyward Strikes on the tentacles forced through the hull. The battle officially begins on the deck of the ruined ship, where Tentalus reveals its body and the title card is shown. After the title card is shown, Tentalus dives beneath the ship and begins pushing its tentacles through the ship. When some of its tentacles are severed, Tentalus resurfaces and attempts to strike Link with its massive arms. Its tentacles grow mouths and attempt to strike Link several at a time.
Tentalus is the Boss of the Lanayaru Sandship. Upon opening the boss door you enter a room with a column in the center. You walk in and massive tentacles erupt from the floorboards.
You reach the top and Tentalus erupts from the water and the fight begins. Tentalus will shoot tentacles through the floor boards in order to try and grab you. Don't stand in one place too long. Run around while lifting your sword in the air to charge your Skyward Strike.
Once it's full, lock on to the nearest tentacle and let a horizontal strike rip. This will sever the tentacle s in its path. Should a tentacle grab you, shake your controllers to escape. After you cut a few tentacles, Tentalus will pop its head out of the water and look at you. The moment you hit the eye with the arrow, charge forward.
The falling tentacles don't hurt you. Note: Do not use the Bow to attack the eye after Tentalus is stunned. You may trigger a glitch the game refuses to switch to Phase II if you attack exclusively with the Bow in Phase I that will force you to reset your Wii.
After you've done this two or three times, the battle moves on to the second stage. Tentalus wrecks part of the platform. Turn around and head for the fallen crate, dodging barrels that are in your parth.
Climb up and face Tentalus again. Its tentacles now take the form of snakes. Just stand in the middle of the platform and swipe at them as they attack. No need to dodge. Once you've cut a few of them, you can again draw your bow and send an arrow into Tentalus's eye. Run in close and finish the job! Last Edited: 27 Apr pm.
